Schiotz Tonometer
The indentation tonometer is a type of Schiotz tonometer. It is a device used to measure intraocular pressure(IOP), which is often used to diagnose glaucoma. 66 Vision Schiotz tonometer applies forefront technology to optimize accurate measurement for eye diagnosis.

What is A Tonometer?
A tonometer is an instrument that measures the intraocular pressure of the human eye. It can assist in the diagnosis of eye diseases such as cataracts and glaucoma. Traditional tonometers can be divided into two types, which are indentation tonometers and applanation tonometers.

Prisms Weights
It measures intraocular pressure indirectly by using a specific weight of intraocular pressure measuring rod to press the cornea into a depression.
The Goldmann applanation tonometer measures IOP by placing the pressure gauge in contact with the eye. This measurement method is closest to the actual pressure value inside the eye, so it is internationally recognized as the “gold standard” for IOP measurement.
The normal IOP of human eyes is 8~21mmHg. Increased IOP can lead to glaucoma, high myopia, cataract, intraocular hemorrhage, etc.
